Gathering Gold for Cataclysm - 3 Great Gathering Ideas To Make Thousands

The World of WarCraft Cataclysm Expansion Pack is coming very soon and many players are already realizing the potential to make gold with gathering professions when it releases. Some of the best materials are the lowest level as many players try to skip these zones entirely on new characters, or speed through so quickly that they wont stop to gather crafting reagents. The following spots will help you gather more materials
quickly so you can make more gold for your time invested when release day hits.
1. Copper Ore - Copper is needed for three base professions and all three need a ton of it. Thus making it a very valuable resource to have a lot of. The best places to gather copper ore is in Loch Modan for Alliance players, and the hills of Silverpine Forest for horde players. By following simple circular mining routes you can quickly and easily farm more than 200 ore per hour.
2. Linen Cloth - Linen cloth is a base requirement in several professions but primary in tailoring. Tailors need i t by the hundreds. A couple quick spots to farm it are as follows. For Alliance, make your way to the mill at coordinates 31, 32. There you will find a group of defias trappers that respawn very quickly and drop 1-3 linen cloth each. You can farm anywhere from 60 to 100 stacks of linen an hour here. Horde players should venture to either Ragefire Chasm in Orgrimmar, or to the farms in western Silverpine Forest. By killing the humanoids in Ragefire Chasm, I personally have farmed over 50 stacks of linen cloth in a half an hour or so.
3. Silverleaf and Peacebloom - The low level herbs mentioned are wonderful cash cows as both alchemy and inscription require them. You can quickly farm them by running circuits around the starting cities of your race. The best places to pick them up for horde is around the Undead starting zone. For Alliance, you will want to run circuits around the Human starting zone.
Best of luck with your gold quest in preparation for the World of WarCraft Cataclysm Expansion Pack. Have fun in game.
